The Thanksgiving holiday at home was going to be a festive affair–My  cat Stubby the Magnificent and I.   Not that she isn’t a reasonable companion but she tends to be a turkey hog snagging the best first.  So I decided to burn some frequent flyer miles and travel 1st class from Washington DC to Bangkok.

Long route but an easy flight on Tuesday 11/17/09  from Reagan National.

First leg was DC to Toronto on Air Canada Executive class.

Changed Planes in Toronto for a 777 Executive class overnight to London.

Changed at Heathrow to Thai Air Royal Silk First Class which was all of it.

Thai Air really does the best first class in the business

Service till the cows come home and then some.  Great meal and wonderful wines

The service was great on the ground.  We cleared security and customs through the diplomatic gate and off to the pick up the bag

The Bag

Unfortunately the bag was somewhere in Canada and would finaaly be delivered to my hotel in Chiang Mai 3 days later having passed through Tokyo.   Thai Air compensated me $300.00 for my troubles
